Every time I see a political ad or listen to many of our elected representatives I can’t help but wish they would follow this admonition from Moses: Leviticus 19:11 “Do not steal. Do not Lie. Do not deceive on another:”
And with America plagued by violence, drugs, greed, envy, “free” sex, corruption and special interests at the expense of the “common good”, how about this one?
2 Chronicles 7:14 – “If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
In case you say that as Christians we are not under the law but under grace you might want to spend a few minutes with Paul’s letter to the Romans (Chapter 6). Is America in slavery to sin? What would happen if Americans acknowledged their bad behavior and took the gospel of Jesus to heart.
This video is a great reminder that our Nation was surely founded on Christian values and beliefs. Sadly, too many American either don’t know or don’t value the legacy given to us by America’s founding fathers.

Obama never wastes a tragedy particularly in a red or pink state! Colorado is a bellwether state for the November elections and President Obama was here- again. This time comforting the survivors, victims and families of the Aurora Theatre Massacre as “Consoler in Chief”. He was here for the wildfires, in Florida for the Trayvon Martin killing, but not in Minnesota for the floods. Minnesota is too blue for Obama to worry about. This is political campaigning pure and simple.
ABC had the gall to try to link this to the Tea Party. Why not the Muslim Brotherhood or CAIR? They specialize in terror.
Even more amazing, there are prayer vigils and meetings in just about every church in our state. Suddenly, it’s OK to call on the Lord. Where’s the cry about separation of Church and State? And, months from now, when this tragedy is fading from the memories of all but the real folks involved, it will once again be wrong to call upon God. Maybe if this Administration allowed us to practice our religious beliefs as stated in the First Amendment, and we could call upon God and be obedient to God in all times, these happenings would not occur.
That is a right guaranteed us in the Constitution, not the fabricated “rights” of the liberal left and their Occupiers.
America, take the blinders off. Try to remember this in November, and get out and vote for faith and freedom.
